Mother Nature cooperated and provided the perfect night for our first Full Moon Night Hike of 2026.
Around 50 people bundled up and braved the sub-freezing temps to join us for the New Year’s Day Hike, including members from Boy Scout Troop 1241.
There is no guarantee that you’ll actually see or hear owls when you sign up for an owl walk. But that wasn’t the case at this year’s Owl Prowl at Maybury State Park.

The new HAWK traffic signal on the south side of Maybury State Park is completed and active. All drivers and pedestrians need to be alert to keep everyone safe.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning to learn about Maybury State Park’s unique past as a tuberculosis sanatorium (1921-1969).
