DESCRIPTION:Bring your lawn chairs\, blankets\, and picnic and enjoy Monday night music on the Trailhead Shelter lawn at beautiful Maybury State Park.  Free family entertainment.  All vehicles entering the park are required to have a Recreation Passport.  Use the Eight Mile entrance and turn Right at the “T”.  All dogs must be on a 6′ leash. \nTravelin’ Tom’s beverage truck will be on hand with several drink offerings for purchase. \nRecreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates\, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm)\, or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth. DESCRIPTION:Join our volunteer thistle-cutting crew 🌿. Together we’ll snip the heads from invasive thistles to reduce their seed germination to allow more native plants to thrive. \nAll experience levels are welcome—we’ll provide basic guidance\, tips for plant ID\, and work alongside you. Please register to let us know you’re coming\, so we can plan tools\, safety gear\, and work areas for the day. \nWhen: Saturday\, July 11th\, 9:00am – 11:00a \nLocation: Maybury State Park\, Eight Mile Entrance\, Trailhead Building \nWhat to bring/wear: Dress for the weather – wear a hat\, work gloves\, light colored long-sleeved shirts\, long pants\, and sturdy shoes or boots. Bring bug spray\, water\, snacks\, and garden snips (if you have them). \nWeather Cancellation: This event will occur during rain\, but will be canceled in the event of thunder or lightning. \nHazards: We will be working in the meadow in tall grass and may encounter bugs including mosquitoes and ticks.
