Edible Plant Hike

Join us for an easy hike through the woods and fields of Maybury State Park.  Learn to identify some easily recognizable edible wild plants and know how to identify those plants to avoid.  Some plants can be eaten raw and some need to be cooked.  Learn what you need to know to “eat wild”.  Everyone is welcome.  Please dress for the weather.

Meet at the Trailhead Building (8 Mile entrance) 15 minutes prior to the start time.

All vehicles entering the park are required to have a Recreation Passport.

Recreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (8 am – 4:30 pm), or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth.
