Winter Hike Leader Training

Join us in sharing the beauty of Maybury State Park with others. Our Winter Hike Leader Training equips you with skills to guide hikes and foster appreciation for nature.

Potential routes include 1 1/2 mile paved trail, 3 1/2 mile paved trail, and 2 mile unpaved trail.  Routes may vary due to trail conditions.

Participating in the training doesn’t obligate you to lead a hike. Come to the training and enjoy a walk and opportunity to talk with an experienced volunteer to learn if it is a good fit for you.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to training start time.

A Recreation Passport is required for all vehicles entering the park.

Recreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (8 am – 4:30 pm), or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth.
